The 2007/2008 season had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We saw a team that all Mudbug Nation fans, staff, coaches and players thought would challenge for the President’s Cup bow out in the first round of playoffs and with a sweep, lowest of hockey lows. But we enjoyed many highs, 44 wins and 94 points. We saw a team come together to rise from the bottom of the standings in the CHL to the top. We will hang another Governor’s Cup banner from atop the CentryTel Center. We will hang another Northeast Division banner from atop the CentryTel Center. But most of all, we got to make several new friends inside our Mudbug team and the Booster Club. We got to re-new many old friendships, as well. After all, being a part of the Mudbug nation is more than just hockey; it’s a family and a way of life. Mudbugs always bounce back! I know that the 2008-2009 Mudbug Team will bring us many more highs and as, is with life, some lows along the way as well.
Now it’s time to start getting ready, together, for another exciting year of Mudbug Hockey. If you love Mudbug Hockey as we do, why not join the CHL’s number one voted Booster Club. Our Booster Club is all about supporting Mudbug Hockey, hockey in the Bossier/Shreveport area and having fun, together. Loads of FUN! Want to get to know the players? Want to help the Number One Booster Club in The CHL support the team? The Booster Club does many things to support Mudbug Hockey and hockey in the Bossier/Shreveport area. Including setting up apartments, feeding players, stocking the team bus for road trips, supporting youth hockey , several yearly parties and much more. So much more I would need a small book to list them all. Being the number One Booster Club in the CHL several years running did not just happen. It takes lots of planning, fundraising and sweat from members. But the rewards-oh how sweet they are. The best way for a fan to feel like part of the team and the action; Mudbug Boilers Booster Club! It’s not for everyone, just the SUPER FANS. While others talk a good game, the Boilers Booster Club puts words into action! Do more that sit on the side lines, join the fun!
